Joy as Makueni girl Gloria Natasha tops class with 68 points in KJSEA

Gloria Natasha, a gifted learner at Kiambani Comprehensive School in Makindu, who topped the recently released KJSEA results.

The girl, Gloria Natasha, who has occasionally topped the class and is talented in various areas, finally led the others by scoring 68 points in the just-released KJSEA.

“You know, we are proud of her. Out of the possible 72, she only missed 4 points. Remember, this is a public primary school with 198 candidates, 93 boys and 101 girls. The girl has done us proud,” said Lazarus Muli, the headteacher.

The headteacher added that a total of 37 candidates had exceeded expectations. At the same time, 109 met expectations, something which was very encouraging considering that nowadays every score has value, he encouraged other pupils to put more effort, adding that the teachers in the school are very devoted to mentor, teach and walk through with the learners in the academic and co-curricular activities to produce holistic learners.

Muli expressed confidence that the learners will be very meaningful people in the future, adding that some of them have special talents.

“If we look at Natasha, let me tell you, the girl used to challenge teachers—very sharp, eloquent and outstanding speaker. As a country, we need to tap such brains, and I am sure she will be admired by many people who can help her land in the best places. Natasha can talk, I tell you,” Muli said.

He added that, as a school, they are focused on helping Kiambani become the best, since a good learning environment equals high performance.
