Garissa University is set to hold its 5th graduation ceremony on Thursday June 20.
In the event that will take place at the school grounds, in Garissa the guest of honour will be President William Ruto.
The graduates to be will be awarded with degrees, diplomas, as well as certificates to signify their qualifications in different programmes offered in the institution.
In the memo signed by the institution acting Registrar Academic and Students Affair Dr Aden Ali Abdi addressed to all graduands, seen by Education News June 17, 2024 was the deadline for payment of graduation fees.

The graduation fees distributed in the level of education is as follows; certificate is KSh5, 000), diploma (KSh6, 000), degree (KSh6, 500), masters (KSh7, 000), and doctorates (KSh7, 500).
Consequently, the varsity will be launching its 2023-2027 Strategic Plan on the day of graduation as per the announcement made by the institution through its official social media account on X formerly referred as Twitter.
Among the goals which the new strategic plan seeks to achieve is enhancing academic excellence, enhancing research and innovation initiative, increasing community outreach and partnerships, enhancing student experience at the university, and strengthening institutional capacity and sustainability.
