The Kenya Primary Schools Education Assessment (KPSEA) has kicked off smoothly in Bungoma, the County Director of Education (CDE) has said.
Addressing journalists after opening of the examinations container at the County Commissioner’s offices, CDE Pius Ngoma noted that 59,543 candidates were sitting for the exam while 47,725 candidates were sitting for KCSE.
Ngoma said that the county has 14 KNEC containers with Bungoma Central sub-county having an additional container due to its large candidature.
He reiterated that KPSEA is not the usual examination but only an assessment of learning, while also urging parents and school neighbours to enable a conducive environment for the candidates.
