ICT CS to launch Jitume Kazi labs in 3 TVET colleges

Ministry of Information, Communications and The Digital Economy Cabinet Secretary (CS) Eliud Owalo is expected to preside over launching of the Jitume Kazi labs today in three TVET colleges in the Western region.

The launch will begin at Kisiwa Technical and Vocational Centre in Bungoma County from 8:00 to 9:15 am.

There after the CS will head to Matili Technical and Vocational Center in the same County where the launch will take place from 9:30 to 10:15 am.

Lastly, he will head to Eldoret National Polytechnic in Uasin Gishu County where the exercise will run from 10:30 to 11:30 am.

The Jitume Kazi initiative, championed by President Ruto, is expected to provide over 1 million jobs for the youth.

Expected guests who will accompany CS Owalo are; TVET Principal Secretary Dr. Esther Muoria, Director General at the Technical and Vocational Education and Training Authority(TVETA) Dr. Kipkirui Langat, Konza Technopolis Chief Executive Officer Paul John Okwiri and the institutions’ Boards of Management.
