I will sponsor five students per ward to pursue agriculture courses, MP-Elect pledges

By Enock Okong’o

Borabu Constituency MP-Elect Patrick Osero has promised to support Education and Agriculture development.

While addressing the public who accompanied him to celebrate his win in the just concluded elections, he said that his office will sponsor five students from each ward in the constituency to study agriculture-related courses to enable the county to realize its production potential.

Osero said that sustainable food security cannot be attained without giving the populace relevant education which is the backbone of development.

“If we increase agricultural production, our children will get sufficient nutrition which is a major component in the intellectual and physical growth of the learners,” he said.

The incoming legislator decried the low standards of infrastructure of the primary schools and blamed the past regimes that put more emphasis on the refinement of secondary schools through NG-CDF at the expense of primary schools.
