The Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) has outlined the procedure schools should follow to access their school-specific Kenya Junior School Education Assessment (KJSEA) and Kenya Primary School Education Assessment (KPSEA) reports.
The reports are available through the KNEC Competency-Based Assessment (CBA) portal and can be downloaded by school administrators using official school credentials.
Schools should follow these steps:
- Open the KNEC CBA portal
Visit the KNEC Competency-Based Assessment portal at https://cba.knec.ac.ke/.
- Log in
Enter the school’s official login credentials. KNEC advises users to confirm that the profile displayed in the top-right corner is labelled “Headteacher.”
- Open School Report
Go to the Headteacher menu and select School Report to access the school’s assessment information.
- Select the report
Choose the required assessment report from the available options:
- KJSEA report
- KPSEA report
Users should confirm that the active report displayed above the download button is the one they intend to access.
- Download the report
Click the green Download button. The selected report will be downloaded as a PDF.
Depending on the browser settings, the document will normally be saved in the device’s Downloads folder.
Schools urged to verify reports
KNEC has advised schools to check the downloaded document carefully before using or sharing it.
Schools should confirm three key details:
- The school name.
- The centre code and related details.
- The report type, confirming whether it is the intended KJSEA or KPSEA report.
The checks are important to ensure that schools are working with the correct assessment document and to prevent confusion between KJSEA and KPSEA reports.
The guidance comes as KNEC continues to provide schools with access to assessment information through the CBA portal as the country transitions to the new education assessment system.
