A bursar at Mwihila High School Daniel Gideon Inganga Musungu has graduated with a master’s degree in finance and accounting from Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology (MMUST).

Speaking during his graduation ceremony, Musungu recounted his journey, beginning with his enrollment at Sigalagala National Polytechnic in the early nineties for a diploma in accounting.

As the firstborn in a family of eight, he found himself fending for his needs at a tender age, having lost his parents during his toddler years.

“I pursued an undergraduate program before attaining his recent master’s degree,” he noted.

Undeterred, Musungu announced his enrollment in a doctoral program, expressing optimism about graduating in two years.

He further urged the youth to recognize it as the primary catalyst for securing a foothold in the labor market.

Additionally, Musungu emphasized the importance of parents enrolling their children in technical colleges, which often offer affordable education, as a crucial step in laying the foundation for their future careers.

According to him, it is personal passion for academics that propels individuals to achieve their desired educational milestones.

Hailing from Butere Sub-County, Musungu is happily married to Mary Inganga, and they are blessed with three children.

Reflecting on his journey, he acknowledged the grace of God that enabled him to provide education for his siblings and elevate himself to his current academic status.
