Gusii professionals, varsity students laud President Ruto’s nomination of envoys

Former Kisii County Deputy Governor Dr. Joash Maangi now High Commissioner to Uganda nominee.

Professionals and University student leaders from Kisii and Nyamira have lauded President William Ruto for appointing former Kisii County Dr. Joash Maangi and former West Mogirango MP Vincent Kemosi as High Commissioners to Uganda and Ghana respectively.

Led by their Chairman, Ondieki Moiruruki of Special Programmes Africa Consortium (SPAC) and Josphat Motanya, they said that the appointment of two and others to those high positions is a great honour to the community and the Nation.

“This a great show from the Kenya Kwanza government towards appointing men of integrity and experience to serve this country, “he said.

The group lauded CS for Education Ezekiel Machogu for playing a very central position of uniting the community towards development instead of divisive politics and asked other leaders to copy his example.

They promised to mobilize parents from the region to support teachers to enable them lead their children well in career choice that will position them to het government employment and support easily.

Elsewhere, teachers from Kisii have accused Governor Simba Arati for sidelining them in the government appointments citing nepotism and lack of balanced leadership and asked President to consider appointing one of their own in the ongoing going government appointments.
