Kimngo’rom Girls High School in Baringo County is mourning the tragic death of Grade 10 student Ivyne Cherop.
Cherop, who hailed from Radad Sub-Location in Emining Ward, has been described as a young student whose death has left her family, classmates, teachers and the wider community devastated.
The news of her death has sent shockwaves through the school and the surrounding community, with students and teachers struggling to come to terms with the loss of one of their own.
Her parents, Mr and Mrs Samson Cherop, are mourning the loss of their daughter as they seek strength, comfort and support from relatives, friends and well-wishers during this difficult period.

The Kimngo’rom Girls fraternity has also expressed deep sorrow following the death, with the student community grieving the loss of their colleague and friend.
