The government has revealed plans to have all schools connected to the internet by 2025, making e-learning a possibility for all in barely three years.
Information and Communication Technology Authority (ICTA) acting CEO Paul Rono said a digital master plan has been designed, which has already seen over 200 schools countrywide connected to the internet in preparation for the revolution.
“Our children will soon be able to conduct research and access wide array of academic material in their schools,” he said, adding that IT training centres will be set up in all Wards to assist youth network and apply for jobs online.
He spoke in Isiolo while touring the region to monitor the progress of government ICT initiatives accompanied by ICTA’s Board Chair Prof Fredrick Owino.
