Machakos Governor Wavinya Ndeti on Tuesday hosted an early Christmas party for children at the Governor’s office in Machakos.

The party organised by the Department of Gender and Social Welfare was attended by children from various Children’s Homes and County government staff children who mingled and had fun with the governor.

Speaking at the event, the Governor thanked Children Homes for the good work they are doing to shape a brighter future for Machakos County and the country.

She said the County government’s duty was to ensure that every child grows up in a safe and dignified environment.

“This is the second Christmas party with the children. I came to spend time together and have fun,” said Governor Wavinya.

She urged the children to work hard in school to be prosperous in life and wished them a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
