In one of the colourful events held in recent times, Governor Natembeya of Trans Nzoia County praised the Catholic sponsored schools for their quality education, high discipline and dedication exhibited by both learners and teachers.
Governor Natembeya was speaking during the World Catholic Day held at St Brigid Girls National School in kiminini Trans Nzoia County Saturday June 15.

The theme of the event was ‘The Light’ and the colourful event saw many of the Head teachers, teachers, learners and educational stakeholders in attendance.

The Catholic Diocese of Kitale Bishop Henry Juma Odonya had earlier presided mass for the large congregation.
Governor Natembeya also praised the Catholic Church for constructing and equipping dispensaries and hospitals which directly benefits the community.

In praising the schools, the governor mentioned the following schools as the top and leading schools in Trans Nzoia County starting with the host St Brigid Girls Kiminini, St Anthony Boys, St Monica Girls, St Joseph Boys and St Joseph Girls and Goseta Boys.
