Western Region’s finest football talents are headed to the national stage after four teams clinched coveted slots in the upcoming KATTISO Ball Games National Championships, after a series of thrilling matches in the regional finals.
In the Soccer Boys category, Sigalagala National Polytechnic emerged as regional champions after displaying exceptional skill, teamwork, and consistency throughout the tournament. Navakholo TVC finished as first runners-up, earning their place at the national event following a strong showing that kept fans cheering to the final whistle.
The Soccer Ladies competition was equally competitive. Bungoma National Polytechnic proved dominant, claiming the championship title with convincing victories that underscored their tactical prowess and unity on the pitch. Kisiwa National Polytechnic followed closely as first runners-up, their disciplined defense and determination earning them a deserved spot in the national showdown.

The four teams will now carry the Western Region flag to the national level, where they will face off against champions from other regions across Kenya. Officials praised the athletes for their commitment and sportsmanship, noting that the region’s strong showing reflects the growing investment in talent development within local institutions.
