Former principal dies in an accident

The late Elijah Lopuke.

Former principal of Borali Secondary School in Alale North, Pokot Sub County has died.

Elijah Lopuke was involved in a tragic road accident on Saturday,at Tapaach along Moroto- Nasal road in Uganda at night as he was traveling from Uganda to Kenya after attending a meeting in the company of his colleagues.

Lopuke was born in Nasal village in Alale in North Pokot Sub County.

He went to Alale primary school up to class 8 before joining Mother of Apostles Seminary in Eldoret for his secondary education.

Lopuke later joined Catholic University of Eastern Africa for his university Education before proceeding overseas for his master’s degree.

When he came back to Kenya he taught at Nasokol Girl’s High school before being promoted as a principal of Borali Sec. School in Alale in North Pokot Sub County.

Later,the late he joined the West Pokot County Government as a CEC official.

By the time of his demise the late was an MCA aspirant in Alale in North Pokot Sub County.

The othervpeople who perished in the accident were, former Kapenguria Mp aspirant Phillemon Lotuydo, Pokot south NGCDF staff Jackson Karowoi and  countyu Assembly Staff Ben Plimo.

The West Pokot majority leader Martin Komongiro survived and is undergoing treatment at the Moroto hospital.
