Former Kitondo School principal Onesmus Matheka has died, sending his former colleagues, students and the wider education fraternity in Mbooni East, Makueni County, into mourning.

Matheka, who served as principal of Kitondo School from 2010 to 2014, was remembered for his contribution to the education sector and his service to learners during his tenure as a school administrator.

News of his death has sparked messages of condolence from friends, former colleagues and members of the community, who have mourned him as a dedicated educationist.

His death is a loss to the Kitondo School community and the wider Mbooni East community, where he was known through his work in education.

Details surrounding his death and funeral arrangements were not immediately available.
