Two siblings in Lwandeti Ward in Lugari are crying out for help from well-wishers as they are yet to join Form One in the schools they were called to after doing their KCPE in 2023.
Emmanuel Obwire, 16, and his brother Festus Wekesa, 14, failed to qualify for the constituency scholarship programme. They scored 330 and 262 marks respectively at Kafusi Primary School within the constituency.
The two were admitted to Kivaywa and Silungai Boys, but they have been unable to join as they have no support, their parents having gone their separate ways a long time ago.

One of the teachers Joyce Wepukhulu confirmed that teachers have been maintaining them in school through buying them food and stationery.
On his part, Emmanuel called on the government to come to his aid, promising to work hard to excel in school.
