The first teachers’ training college (TTC) is set to be constructed in April this year in Tana River County.
Governor Dhadho Godhana revealed that leaders had met with the then acting CS for Education Fred Matiang’i and secured establishment of the teachers’ training college.
The county boss revealed that the college will be named Tana Teachers’ Training College and local leaders will decide on the actual place where the institution will be put up.
The leaders include Senator Juma Wario, MPs Ali Wario (Bura), Ali Hassan Wario Guyo (Garsen), Said Buya Hiribae (Galole), Woman Representative Rehema Hassan and former Galole MP Hassan Dukicha.
Dhadho said the three MPs had pledged to contribute funds from their respective CDF kitties for the construction of the institution.
