First Lady asks students to stay focused on their studies

Students have been asked to revere God as they remain focused on their studies in order to succeed in life.

The First Lady Rachael Ruto told students to imitate Jesus Christ who grew in stature intellectually and his actions pleased both God and man.

The First Lady had made a stopover at Kisii School when she attended a church function to commemorate its 10th anniversary, thanked the school’s fraternity led by Senior Principal Fred Mogaka for its discipline, academic advancement and christian practices.

She joined the talented school choir band that entertained her and entourage with the melodious tunes.

At the well-attended 10th anniversary at Kisii Primary and overseen by Kisii Chapel Embassy Church, the wife of the President asked Kenyans to embrace peace, love and unity because it is the will of God.

“The church is a demonstration of God’s family that is expected to live in harmony with the rest of the world,” she said.

Pastor Dr Mark Kariuki who presided over the church service challenged the congregation to live full of expectations so as to experience prosperity in all facets.

“God expects his people to prosper in all influences of life. Don’t be satisfied with stagnated progress in your lives but stand and claim your rightful position in life,” he said.

The congregation was attended by all Kisii Cleaders of the clergy led by their chairman Bishop Lawrence Nyanuga.

Bishop Nyanuga thanked President William Ruto for listening to the public recommendations on the ongoing debate about the Financial Bill and hoped that all will go well for the country for peace to prevail.
