Oriwo Boys’ High School principal Mr. Maurice Okal has been transferred to Sirembe Mixed Secondary School in Siaya County.
Mr. Henry Airo, from Sirembe Mixed, takes over the helm at Oriwo Boys in Homa Bay County.
Mr. Okal handed over to Mr Airo yesterday. His transfer follows allegations of exam malpractices in 2021 KCSE. The results of more than 500 candidates at Oriwo Boys were withheld.
Mr Okal was grilled by detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) but he was later cleared and the KCSE results released.
Oriwo Boys High school is one of the top-performing schools in KCSE. It has a history of producing the top candidates in the national exams and in 2020 KCSE , it was listed as one of the most improved schools countrywide.
