Eldoret National Polytechnic hosts engineers conference

The Eldoret National Polytechnic (TENP) is hosting a workshop organized by the Institution of Engineering Technologists and Technicians Kenya in collaboration with the Kenya Engineering Technology Registration Board that started today.

While speaking to the press, Chief Principal Charles Koech said the three-day capacity building will ensure that engineering standards are implemented and maintained within the profession.

“By the end of this workshop, we should be able to give better services to our clients. We also we want to ensure that there is streamlining in the profession. At the end of this capacity building there will be an exhibition of innovations that have been developed by trainees,” he added.

Principal Secretary, State Department of Roads Joseph Mbugua said the engineers are going to be trained on aspects of technology they should implement in various undertakings.

Uasin Gishu County Governor Jonathan Bii congratulated the Koech for spearheading development at the institution.

“I want to congratulate the Chief principal for a job well done by making sure that this institutions is among the best in the country. Kudos for a job well done!” he said.
