Early Childhood Development Education (ECDE) Teachers in the country have convened in Nairobi today for launch of their new Association dubbed Chekechea Welfare Association (CHEWA).
Speaking during the launch at Nairobi’s Ambassador Hotel, CHEWA National Chairman Lawrence Otunga called on the government to fully implement the recommendations contained in the Presidential Working Party on Education Reforms (PWPER) to allow all ECDE teachers in the country to be employed by the Teachers Service Commission (TSC).
Otunga noted further that the Association will bring together all ECDE teachers in negotiating the Welfare of the teachers in bettering their Working conditions.
