Asumbi Girls High School has welcomed Dr Teresa Atieno Otieno, formerly of Sinyolo Girls, as its new principal.
The school’s Board of Management, staff, students, parents and the wider Asumbi Girls fraternity congratulated her on the appointment. They said she joins the school with a wealth of experience, distinguished leadership and a strong commitment to excellence in education.
The school community said it looks forward to benefiting from her leadership as she takes the institution forward, adding that she would build on the solid foundation and rich legacy of Asumbi Girls.

They also reaffirmed a shared commitment to excellence, integrity, discipline, faith and the holistic development of every Asumbian. The statement wished Dr Otieno a successful and impactful tenure and expressed hope that she would lead the school to even greater heights.
The school also thanked Sister Caroline Onyango, who served as acting principal during the transition period, praising her dedication, commitment and stewardship, and saying her service to the institution is deeply valued.
