South Mugirango Sub County Director of Education (SCDE) Richard Obonyo has lauded area teachers for preparing candidates sufficiently as national examinations approach.

Speaking at Etago, Obonyo likened teachers to midwives whose cooperation is required for safe delivery.

He asked them to continue with the good work before, during and after the national examinations.

Obonyo assured parents that preparations for the three main examinations were complete and asked them to pray for and support their children during the exam period.

“We have collaborated with security organs to make sure everything runs smoothly,” he said.

The Director cautioned candidates against misconduct during the period and also report to the Police anybody who might purport to have exam leakage.

Obonyo asked business owners, especially bars, around school premises to maintain serenity to ensure a conducive learning environment for the candidates.
