Curtain falls on former Moi Girls Eldoret Principal

Moi Girls Eldoret fraternity has plunged into mourning following the death of former Principal Mrs Helen Cheramboss who passed on today.

She was an eminent academic who served with intelligence and diligence in different capacities leaving indelible marks in the lives of many who went through Moi Girls during her tenure.

Mrs Cheramboss served as Principal of the prestigious Moi Girls Eldoret between 1983 to 2007 when she retired and joined community work as a cannon at Anglican Church of Kenya.

It is reported that the former Principal died after a short illness. However, many of her former students have sent messages of condolences to the family.

In his message, Deputy President Dr William Ruto described Mrs Cheramboss as a tireless and devoted teacher who mentored and moulded a generation of leaders in the country.

Women Rep for Uasin Gishu Gladys Shollei who is Mrs Cheramboss’ former student described the deceased as an icon.

Baringo Senator Gedion Moi mourned Mrs Cheramboss as a great teacher who touched and inspired many Kenyan girls.

In her message, former head of Public Service Dr Sally Kosgei described Mrs Cheramboss as an astute and discipline manager.

The late Principal was a wife of former President Moi’s Escort Commander who served between 1999-2002 Mr Samson Cherambos.
