The Cabinet Secretary for Education Julius Ogamba has announced that Koitaleel Samoei University College’s main campus will open its doors to pioneer students as from next year after the construction is completed.
The CS made the maiden announcement during his tour of the university’s Main Campus to check on the progress of the construction that is taking place next to Samoei Boys high school.

It is reported that the school donated about 59 acres of its land to accommodate the establishment of the university main campus.
The university college which is the brainchild of University of Nairobi opened its doors some five years ago at the then Mosoriot Teachers College in Chesumei constituency, Nandi County.
During his monitoring tour, the CS commended the splendid work that the contractor is doing in a bid to meet the timeline.

While addressing the students of Samoei Boys high school, CS Ogamba commended the students for maintaining high discipline that has always seen the school to be among the top performing schools in Nandi County.
He further intimated that ministry of Education is at advanced talks with ministry of housing so that the school benefits from modern dormitories that will accommodate all students.
During the exercise, Nandi hills town residents expressed their joy, saying that the town will at long last regain its glory of being the busiest town in county. “This town will become an educational centre and at the same time regain its business title after the mechanization in the tea estates drove out many workers who made the town alive,” said Kogey.
