The Kitui County Government held a 20-day training the local Early Childhood Development Education (ECDE) teachers on the new curriculum.
The programme kicked off in January 11 and was officially opened by County Education, ICT and Youth Development Minister David Kivoto.
Each of the county’s 40 wards had two consecutive days for the training and each ward has its own venue for the training.
The minister said that there was a champion teacher in every ward whose work was to assist the trainer in delivering the content and to continue mentoring other teachers after the training.
