Nyamira County Government will use school holidays to tap talents of children who might not be gifted academically so that they can excel in those fields they are good at.

Governor Amos Nyaribo said that there are learners in both primary and secondary schools who might not be endowed with class work ability but can excel in other fields like soccer.

He told parents to use this holiday to discover abilities and talents in their children and encourage them to build on them instead of comparing one child with another because all children are not the same.

“Let our parents know that not all of the children can suit in one place but each of them has a place where they can fit,” he said.

She appealed to all participants to exhibit a high degree of discipline during the tournament that kicked off on Sunday and it is scheduled to reach its climax on December 19.
