The Kajiado County Government will fully sponsor vulnerable students admitted to national and extra-county schools from the 2023 KCPE group.

This is contained in an advertisement for university, college and secondary school students to apply for scholarships by the county government.

According to Chief Officer (CO) in the education docket Samson Parashina, the applicants should also have garnered 300 marks and above.

At the university and college levels, the county is sponsoring students pursuing Degree and Diploma courses in the Education, Health, Water, Engineering, ICT, Fashion Design, Housing, Environment and Conservation sectors.

The county has, however, specified institutions where the students should be enrolled.

Interested students have been given up to December 29, 2023 to submit their applications.

Affirmative action will be taken into consideration to ensure equity as orphans and people with disabilities (PWD) have been encouraged to apply.
