Chris Wanyonyi takes over as Senior Principal of Khasoko Boys Senior School

Khasoko Boys Senior School in Bumula Sub-County has a new administrator following the appointment of Mr Chris Juma Wanyonyi as Senior Principal.

Wanyonyi, who previously served as Principal of Kimugui Senior School, officially assumed office during a colourful handing-over ceremony attended by education stakeholders and members of the school community. The ceremony was presided over by officials from the Bumula Sub-County Directorate of Education and the Teachers Service Commission (TSC), who oversaw the formal transition and assumption of office.

The new principal takes charge of the institution at a critical period, as schools across the country continue to implement the Competency-Based Education framework and prepare for the full transition into senior school.

During the ceremony, education officials challenged the new administration to work closely with teachers, parents, learners and the Board of Management to strengthen academic performance, discipline and co-curricular activities. They further emphasised teamwork, accountability and stakeholder engagement as key pillars in the effective management of the school.

Wanyonyi brings to Khasoko a wealth of experience in school administration and educational leadership, having previously headed Kimugui Senior School. His transfer is expected to inject new leadership energy into the institution as it seeks to consolidate its gains and address emerging challenges facing senior schools.

Teachers and other stakeholders welcomed Wanyonyi and pledged to support his administration as he begins his tenure. The new Senior Principal is expected to work with both teaching and non-teaching staff to enhance the learning environment while providing strategic leadership in academics, discipline, talent development and other school programmes.

The ceremony formally marked the beginning of Wanyonyi’s tenure at Khasoko Boys Senior School, with stakeholders expressing optimism about the institution’s next phase under his leadership.
