As directed by the Ministry of Education, the top management of Technical and Vocational Training Institutes (TVETs) have created the calendar for the phased reopening.
In a circular dated 30th September 2020 sent to all Principals, Managers and Directors of National Polytechnics, Technical and Vocational Colleges, Private Technical/Business Studies Colleges students are required in their various institutions on the 5th of October 2020.
In the circular, term one will kick off from 26th October to 29th January 2021. On 8th August 2020, candidates will undergo the KNEC Rehearsal for the due exams which were supposed to be done in March 2020. The exam is set to start on October 12 to 23rd 2020. In between, there will be a short break from 18th December to 3rd January 2021.
The second term is set to run from 15th February 2021 to 7th May 2021 while the third term will begin on 24th May 2021 to 13th August 2021.
The KNEC exams for July 2020, however, is scheduled for 18th to 29th 2021 while the admission for the July and November 2020 KNEC exams will be from 15th February 2021.
The KASNEB exams for May and November 2020 group will be from 7th to 18th December 2020.
