Baringo Central Member of Parliament Joshua Kandie on Wednesday launched a Ksh73 million bursary programme under the National Government Constituency Development Fund (NG-CDF), pledging that no student in the constituency would be denied an education due to financial hardship.
The launch was held at Museum Stadium in Kabarnet, drawing beneficiaries and residents from across the constituency.
Kandie said the programme was meant to ease the burden on struggling families and restore hope to learners whose academic futures were at risk, adding that the fund amounted to a renewed promise to the people of Baringo Central.

The MP urged beneficiaries to work hard and remain focused on their studies, saying their success would be the constituency’s greatest reward.

On the same day, Kandie commissioned a newly constructed tiled classroom block and ablution facilities at Mumol Junior School, also funded through the NG-CDF.
The boys’ and girls’ ablution blocks were designed to be persons with disabilities-friendly, in line with the government’s commitment to inclusive and accessible education.
Kandie said the infrastructure developments at Mumol Junior School reflected the constituency’s continued focus on improving school facilities and raising the quality of education for all learners.
