About 100 alumni from Kyulungwa secondary school in Mwingi Central Sub County have started sponsoring students in a bid to boost education in the area.

The alumni observed that education empowers people and enlightens them against engaging in vices.

During a career talk at the school, Vision Together Foundation CEO Patrick Mwendwa sponsored two vulnerable students as a way of giving back to the society.

‘We all need to unite and chip in when need arises,” added Mwendwa.

Daniel Mwaniki said that they donated sanitary pads to girls and that they also have plans to construct a new classroom and ensure the school gets a school bus.

The school’s deputy principal Daniel Kyale noted that most students in the school are needy and survive on bursaries and good will from others.

He called upon other old students from different schools to give back to the society.
