A record 79 candidates score over 400 marks in St Peters Mumias

St Peters Mumias Boarding. 79 candidates scored over 400 marks in the just released KCPE.

79 candidates at St Peters Mumias Boys Boarding Primary and Junior Secondary School scored over 400 marks in the just released Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) results, bringing down the curtain on 8-4-4 impressively.

The top candidate scored 421 marks, and only two candidates scored below 300.

Deputy head teacher David Kubende said early syllabus coverage, teamwork, dedicated staff and support from parents were the reasons for their excellence.

“We have a history of posting impressive results and this year’s reflect what we do here. Our boys are a disciplined lot and we have close to zero cases of indiscipline,” Kubende said.

“At St Peters, programmes run from as early as 4.00am and run up to late just to ensure that our boys are prepared well. The school boasts of super boarding section for the boys with a friendly rate,” he added.
