Kenya Union of Post Primary Education Teachers (KUPPET) Uasin Gishu Secretary Elijah Maiyo has asked Cabinet Secretary for Education Prof George Magoha to resign.
This comes after the CS insulted Uasin Gishu Director of Education Mr. Gitonga Mbaka for not ensuring the cleanness of Langas Primary ahead of his visit.
Speaking to the press in Eldoret town recently the KUPPET boss termed the move as a breach of professionalism and uncalled for.
“As Uasin Gishu Kuppet boss I want to condemn the move by CS Magoha of abusing the officer with strongest terms possible. This was uncalled for and we demand him to apologize to him,” Maiyo.
He said the reason why the compound was dirty was that there was construction going on in the school.
“Gitonga Mbaka is an educated member and has worked in the government for over 30 years, a respected elder of Njuri Njeke, he also has a PhD just like him therefore, he should respect him and apologize publicly,” Maiyo added.
“If he will not apologize, we will report him to human rights since he infringed the rights of the director, we will also boycott his meetings whenever he visits Uasin Gishu,” he added.
