Parents in Kilifi County have been warned against marrying off their school going girls.
Kilifi County Woman Representative Gertrude Mbeyu said they will arrest parents involved in cultural practices that contravene the Constitution.
The MP said girls should be allowed to pursue their education.
She was speaking at Garashi Primary School which has been one of the camps for the flood victims in Magarini Constituency.
The legislator doanted 70 bags of maize flour, 4 bags of beans, 4 tins of cooking oil and 10 sanitary towels worth Sh224,000.
She lamented that Kilifi County had been one of the counties recording high cases of early marriages countywide.
Mbeyu challenged teachers in the area not to send home children living at the camp with their parents who have no school uniforms as the national examinations near.
