St Kizito Girls Secondary School for the deaf in Bomet County has received a new kitchen and dining hall to improve learning.
The facilities worth Sh2.4 million were launched by The National Fund for the Disabled of Kenya. The school has more than 100 deaf students.
NFDK National vice chairperson Peter Nyakiamo said the new facilities will improve learning for the students. He called on the students to utilise them for their benefits. The NFDK has helped more than 70 other institutions in the country in setting up such facilities this financial year.
It runs many events that help raise awareness and money to help empower the disabled.
