- TVET CDACC has showcased its skills certification services at the Nairobi International Trade Fair 2026 at Jamhuri Park.
- The council has highlighted its work on CBET curricula developed with industry and its assessment and certification of trainees and professionals.
- It has promoted its Recognition of Prior Learning service for informal and experienced workers seeking formal validation of their skills.
The Technical and Vocational Education and Training Curriculum Development, Assessment and Certification Council (TVET CDACC) is taking its work to the public at the Nairobi International Trade Fair 2026, now underway at Jamhuri Park.
Visitors to the council’s stand can find out how it shapes and validates technical skills training in Kenya. Staff are also on hand to answer questions and discuss possible partnerships.
Central to the council’s exhibit is its work on Competency-Based Education and Training (CBET) curricula. Instead of focusing only on classroom theory, this approach measures what learners can actually do. To keep programmes relevant, the council develops them together with employers and other industry players.
In addition, TVET CDACC assesses and certifies the competence of trainees and working professionals. Its Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) service extends this to people who picked up their skills informally or through years on the job. Such workers can therefore have their abilities formally assessed without returning to a classroom.

The council also wants to hear from those who use and depend on technical training. Trainees, trainers, employers, parents and training institutions are all invited to engage with its team.
