The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has invited qualified primary school teachers to present their academic and professional documents for verification as part of the ongoing deployment of teachers to Junior Secondary Schools (JSS).
The verification exercise targets primary school teachers who possess the requisite secondary school teaching qualifications and have been identified as eligible for deployment to JSS.
The teachers have been directed to report to their respective TSC Sub-County offices for the exercise, which will begin at 8am on the scheduled verification dates.
Those attending the exercise are required to carry original copies of their National Identity Cards, Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) certificates, degree or diploma certificates, academic transcripts and TSC registration certificates. They are also expected to present clear copies of the documents for verification by TSC officials.

The Commission said the exercise is restricted to qualified primary school teachers who meet the academic requirements for teaching at the junior secondary level. The deployment forms part of ongoing efforts by TSC to address staffing requirements in JSS following the transition to the Competency-Based Education system.
Teachers have been advised to adhere to the dates communicated to them and report to the designated Sub-County offices on time to avoid delays in the verification process. The Commission has further urged eligible teachers to ensure they have all the required documents before attending the exercise.
The verification is expected to enable TSC to confirm the academic and professional credentials of teachers considered for deployment before they are posted to JSS.
