- TVET CDACC will inspect learner portfolios ahead of the November/December 2026 assessment series.

TVET CDACC will verify student portfolios of evidence from October 19, 2026, ahead of the November/December assessment series.
The Technical and Vocational Education and Training Curriculum Development, Assessment and Certification Council (TVET CDACC) announced the plan in a circular to institutions. The exercise will run until November 13, 2026.
Officials will check Portfolios of Evidence (PoEs) and also validate industry training at places of attachment. The council describes verification as a continuous process. Institutions must therefore remain ready at any time during the training period.
The circular went to principals of national polytechnics, institutes of science and technology, technical training institutes, technical and vocational colleges and private colleges. It also reached vice chancellors of universities implementing competency-based education and training (CBET) and managers of vocational training centres.
Verification requirements
First, institutions must notify registered candidates about the verification dates. They must also keep every PoE organised, complete and readily available in line with the prescribed guidelines.
Continuous assessment score sheets will also come under scrutiny. They should be accurate and updated after each formative assessment using the prescribed template.
Moreover, trainers assessing the respective units must be present during verification and provide all supporting documentation.
Beyond the classroom, the council will also validate training at candidates’ places of attachment. The aim is to confirm that learners are undertaking the required industry activities. It will also check that the scores presented for that training can be verified.
Institutions must therefore ensure that places of attachment are properly documented. Industry supervisors and relevant workplace personnel may be asked to assist and confirm candidates’ participation.
To ease the process, TVET CDACC says it will offer guidance on documenting training activities, formative assessment evidence and industry training.
The warning is clear. Where evidence is insufficient or does not cover all the required elements, the council will act. It will do the same where formative assessments are forged or copied directly from previous assessments without proper changes.

Such work will be declined. Results for the affected courses will then be withheld until sufficient and valid internal assessment is undertaken.
