- Kimutai Kerich Leonard has taken over leadership of Bukunye Secondary School in Bomet East.
- He joins the school following his transfer from Salaik Secondary School in Bomet Central.
- Kerich also brings experience in sports administration and coordination of secondary school activities.
Kimutai Kerich Leonard has taken over as the new principal of Bukunye Secondary School in Bomet East Sub-County following his transfer from Salaik Secondary School in Bomet Central Sub-County.
Mr Kerich moves to Bukunye with experience in school administration and co-curricular activities, having previously served as principal of Salaik Secondary School.
His appointment also brings to the school experience in sports administration. He is the chairman of the Bomet Central Sub-County Secondary School Sports Association, a position that has placed him at the centre of organising and coordinating secondary school sporting activities in the sub-county.
His transfer brings Bukunye Secondary School leadership experience in both academic administration and sports as the institution continues to strengthen its programmes.
Kerich’s involvement in school sports has given him experience in promoting co-curricular activities that develop learners’ talents, discipline and teamwork.
New assignment at Bukunye
At Bukunye, he is expected to work with teachers, learners, parents and other stakeholders to advance the school’s academic and co-curricular programmes.
His arrival comes at a time when schools are increasingly placing emphasis on the holistic development of learners through academics, sports and other talent-development activities.

The new principal’s previous leadership at Salaik Secondary School and his role in sub-county school sports are expected to support him as he begins his new assignment in Bomet East.
