- Elema has pledged to work closely with the deputy principal and staff to strengthen academic performance and teacher training standards.
Ugenya Teachers Training College has ushered in a new chapter of leadership following the appointment of Mr. Robert Elema as the institution’s new Principal.
Mr. Elema takes over the leadership of the college following the retirement of his predecessor, Mr. Nyawanda, in July this year.
The new Principal is expected to work closely with Deputy Principal Mr. John Nyedia, alongside the teaching and support staff, to strengthen institutional programmes, enhance academic performance and promote quality teacher training at the college.

His appointment comes at a time when the institution continues to place emphasis on professionalism, discipline, teamwork and improved academic standards in preparing competent teachers for Kenya’s education sector.
As the college transitions to the new administration, the Ugenya Teachers Training College fraternity has expressed confidence in the incoming leadership and expressed optimism for a smooth handover and continued institutional progress.
