The Nakuru County Government has distributed instructional materials and curriculum designs for Early Childhood Development Education (ECDE) learners and teachers in Kuresoi South and Kuresoi North sub-counties, where 7,098 and 6,831 books were distributed, respectively.
The distribution exercise was led by the County Executive Committee Member (CECM) for Education, ICT, e-Government and Public Communication, Zipporah Wambui, alongside the Chief Officer for Cooperatives, Kibet Kurgat.
Speaking during the exercise, Wambui said the distribution of the books is an initiative by the County Government of Nakuru aimed at ensuring ECDE learners access dignified and quality basic education.

Heads of institutions and teachers who turned up to collect the materials expressed their appreciation to the Kihika administration for the support. They noted that the new curriculum design materials will enable teachers to plan and deliver lessons more effectively, while the learners’ books will ensure children are adequately equipped with the necessary learning materials, in line with the current Competency-Based Education (CBE) system.
