Persons with disabilities (PwDs) seeking to pursue professional qualifications in accounting, finance and management now have a new opportunity. They can apply for fully funded scholarships under the KASNEB Foundation’s September 2026 intake.
Synapse Global Institute, with funding support from the KASNEB Foundation, is inviting eligible PwDs to apply. The scholarships will support training in selected KASNEB programmes.
Programmes and eligibility
The programmes on offer include the Certificate in Accounting and Management Skills (CAMS), the Diploma in Accountancy, and Certified Public Accountants (CPA).
To qualify, applicants must be Kenyan citizens aged 18 years and above with a valid National Identity Card. They must also possess a valid Disability Card or Certificate issued by the National Council for Persons with Disabilities (NCPWD).
Additionally, successful applicants need an accessible email address, a smart device and a reliable internet connection to support online learning. Those who require assistance must also arrange their own personal aide or support person.
Course structure and timelines
Classes are set to begin on September 1, 2026, with all training delivered 100 per cent online.

The Diploma in Accountancy will take approximately two years to complete, while CPA training will take about six months per section or level, subject to KASNEB’s progression requirements. Meanwhile, the CAMS programme will follow the approved KASNEB structure.
How to apply
Applicants must submit copies of all valid documents, along with their preferred course, full name, telephone contact and email address. They should send applications to Synapse Global Institute through its website, www.sgi.ac.
The application deadline is August 31, 2026. Only eligible applicants who submit complete applications by then will be considered for the scholarship.
Synapse Global Institute noted that the scholarship slots are limited and urged interested applicants to apply early.
Overall, the initiative is expected to widen access to professional education for persons with disabilities by offering flexible, accessible and fully online learning opportunities.
