- TSC has extended the Term Two TPAD deadline from August 14 to August 24, 2026, following persistent system glitches.
- TSC has directed heads of institutions to clear all pending appraisals within the new timeframe.
The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has extended the deadline for completing Term Two Teacher Performance and Appraisal Development (TPAD) activities, following persistent technical glitches that disrupted the appraisal process on the commission’s digital platform.
Heads of institutions, who had initially been required to finalise all Term Two TPAD submissions by August 14, 2026, now have until August 24, 2026, to clear any pending appraisals and summaries.

The extension was communicated through a circular dated August 18, 2026, issued by the Director of Teacher Professional Management, Mr Mugwuku Nthamburi, directing institutional heads to ensure all outstanding Term Two TPAD appraisals and summaries are completed and cleared within the new timeframe.
The decision follows technical challenges experienced on the TPAD system, which had made it difficult for teachers and school administrators in some institutions to complete the appraisal process within the original deadline.
TPAD forms a key component of TSC’s teacher performance management framework, used to monitor professional performance, identify areas requiring support and promote accountability within schools.

With the revised deadline offering additional room to manoeuvre, heads of institutions have been urged to use the extra days to clear all pending submissions and ensure their schools’ Term Two appraisal processes are fully completed ahead of August 24.
The latest extension also underscores the extent to which the reliability of digital platforms can affect critical administrative processes within the education sector.
