- Recent graduates can apply for placements across five departments within the county legislative institution.
- Applicants must have completed a Bachelor’s degree or Diploma within the past two years.
- Successful candidates will gain practical workplace experience while learning about county legislative operations.
The County Assembly of Bomet has opened applications for its 2026/2027 internship programme, giving recent graduates an opportunity to gain practical experience and develop professional skills within the county legislative institution.
The programme targets highly motivated Kenyan graduates interested in working in five key areas: Hansard, Legal Services, Procedural Services, Outreach and Citizen Engagement, and Communication and Media Relations.
According to the Assembly, the internship positions will be offered on a non-renewable basis. Applicants must have graduated with either a Bachelor’s degree or Diploma within the last two years to qualify.
Those seeking the opportunities are required to submit a cover letter clearly indicating their preferred department, a detailed curriculum vitae, a copy of their National Identity Card and copies of academic and professional certificates.
Applicants must also provide valid insurance cover, one coloured passport-size photograph, a Certificate of Good Conduct and any other relevant supporting documents or testimonials.
The Assembly has cautioned applicants against submitting incomplete applications, saying those without all the required documents will not be considered. It also warned that canvassing in any form will lead to automatic disqualification.
Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted. Those selected for interviews will be required to present original copies of their National Identity Cards, academic and professional certificates, as well as transcripts for verification.
September 4 deadline
Completed applications should be submitted through the official Assembly email address.
The deadline for applications is September 4, 2026, at 5:00 p.m.

The Assembly said the programme seeks to equip young graduates with practical skills and expose them to the operations of county legislatures. The recruitment process will be guided by constitutional principles of merit, fair competition, equal employment opportunities and representation of Kenya’s diverse communities, including persons with disabilities.
