Mudavadi warns youths on social media conduct

Prime CS Musalia Mudavadi has urged youths at the National Youth Camp in Nyangori to be responsible on social media and respectful of authority.
The camp brought together young people from across Kenya for a week of worship, fellowship and mentorship under PAG Kenya’s leadership.
Mudavadi has laid the foundation stone for the Centenary Building and opened a new cafeteria, projects backed by a KSh50 million presidential donation.

Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi has urged the youths to be responsible in their conduct, cautious about what they post on social media and respectful of authority.

Speaking during the National Youth Camp at Nyangori, Mudavadi challenged the youth to think carefully before posting, sharing or commenting on social media, reminding them that online activity can have consequences far beyond the digital space.

Mudavadi urged them to avoid using social media to spread hostility, misinformation or disrespect, and instead turn the platforms into tools for learning, networking, entrepreneurship and positive influence. He also urged the youth to respect authority and established institutions, stressing the importance of discipline, responsible citizenship and constructive engagement with leaders and society.

The National Youth Camp brought together approximately 20,000 youths from different parts of Kenya for a week of worship, fellowship, mentorship and reflection. PAG Kenya General Superintendent Bishop Kenneth Adiara has led the church’s broader vision of spiritual renewal and purposeful Christian living during the camp, while National Christian Education and Youth Director Rev. Joseph Waithaka has overseen youth-focused programmes on spiritual growth and mentorship.

Participants at the camp were challenged to use their talents, education and opportunities wisely, resist destructive peer pressure and develop the discipline required to achieve their ambitions.

The closing of the camp was marked by development milestones at the host institution. Mudavadi, accompanied by other leaders, laid the foundation stone for the Centenary Building and officially opened the completed cafeteria. The Centenary project has received KSh50 million in support from President William Ruto, provided late last year.
