Moi University has released its Semester One academic calendar, setting out the key dates students need for reporting, reopening, examinations and graduation as the institution prepares for the new academic year. The announcement comes as universities across the country finalise timelines for the coming semester, with students expected to organise their travel, accommodation and other personal requirements ahead of reopening.
Under the new calendar, first-year students are expected to report to the university and begin the joining process between August 20 and 21, 2026, marking the start of the university experience for those joining various programmes across the institution. New students have been encouraged to complete all admission and joining requirements within the stipulated reporting period and to familiarise themselves with university procedures and academic expectations before their studies begin.
Continuing students, meanwhile, are scheduled to officially reopen for the new semester on August 27, 2026. They have been urged to make the necessary arrangements and report on time to avoid delays in resuming their academic programmes.
The main end-of-semester examinations have been set for November 30 to December 22, 2026, with students expected to use the weeks leading up to the exam period to attend classes, complete academic requirements and adequately prepare for their papers.

Moi University’s graduation ceremony has been scheduled for December 3, 2026, and is expected to bring together graduands, their families, university staff and other stakeholders to celebrate students completing their studies.
