Trans Nzoia County has been ranked the third best-performing county in education nationwide, marking a major milestone in the county’s efforts to strengthen the education sector through improved service delivery and sustained investment.
The recognition comes as Governor George Natembeya was also named the second best-performing governor in Kenya, with the accolades highlighting his administration’s commitment to advancing education alongside other key development sectors.
The national ranking underscores the county government’s interventions aimed at improving access to quality education, enhancing learning infrastructure and supporting programmes that promote better learning outcomes across schools.
Scholars have welcomed the recognition, describing it as a testament to the county’s growing investment in the education sector and its commitment to creating an enabling environment for learners and educators.
The county government has continued to prioritise education through initiatives that complement the national government’s efforts, including the development of learning facilities, support for Early Childhood Development Education (ECDE) and programmes designed to improve the quality of teaching and learning.
