- The athletes will attend a four-day training camp at M-Pesa Foundation Academy from August 7–10 before departing for Tanzania on August 11, arriving on August 12 ahead of the August 14–22 championships.
The Kenya Secondary Schools Sports Association (KSSSA) has named a formidable 71-member athletics team that will represent the country at the 2026 Federation of East Africa Secondary Schools Sports Association (FEASSSA) Games in Morogoro, Tanzania.
The athletes, drawn from outstanding performances at various school competitions across the country, are expected to begin preparations with a four-day residential training camp at the M-Pesa Foundation Academy from August 7 to August 10.
According to KSSSA, the camp will sharpen the athletes’ readiness ahead of their departure to Morogoro on August 11. The Kenyan contingent is scheduled to arrive in Tanzania on August 12, giving them two days to acclimatise before the championships officially begin on August 14.
The athletics squad will be joined by other Team Kenya representatives who qualified through the Brookside National Term One Games and the KCB National Term Two Games, forming a strong national delegation targeting regional glory.

The 2026 FEASSSA Games will run from August 14 to August 22 and are expected to attract the best secondary school athletes from across East Africa. Kenya heads into the competition with high expectations, having consistently dominated athletics at the regional championships over the years.
KSSSA believes the intensive training camp will help build team cohesion, improve fitness levels and fine-tune athletes’ technical abilities as they prepare to face stiff competition from regional rivals.
The association reaffirmed its commitment to nurturing young sporting talent through school competitions, describing the FEASSSA Games as an important platform for identifying future national and international stars.
With the theme “One Nation, One Team, One Victory,” Team Kenya will be seeking to maintain its rich tradition of excellence while flying the country’s flag high in Morogoro.
The official programme shows the athletes reporting to camp on August 7, departing for Tanzania on August 11, arriving on August 12, before competing throughout the nine-day championship ending on August 22.
