Matungu Member of Parliament (MP) Peter Oscar Nabulindo has reaffirmed his commitment to advancing education through technology after officially commissioning a modern computer laboratory at Koyonzo Girls’ Senior School and handing over a complete set of computers to the institution.
The project marks another important milestone in the MP’s ongoing efforts to bridge the digital divide in Matungu Constituency by ensuring learners have access to modern ICT facilities that prepare them for the demands of the 21st century.
Speaking during the commissioning ceremony, Nabulindo said digital literacy is no longer a luxury but a necessity for every learner. He noted that investment in ICT infrastructure is essential in equipping students with practical skills that will enable them to compete effectively in an increasingly technology-driven world.
The newly established computer laboratory is expected to serve as a hub for digital learning, innovation and skills development, providing students with opportunities to acquire essential computer knowledge while supporting the effective implementation of the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC).
The MP emphasized that empowering girls through technology is a strategic investment in the future, noting that access to quality digital education will open doors to higher learning, entrepreneurship and opportunities in the modern job market.
